This work is based on the diagnostic approach to observations and experiments with an emphasis on sustainable development criteria for the comparison of the state of generating dynamic systems. The basic idea is to choose the model of seismic observations, providing the use of forms of seismic signal as a classification criterion. This paper describes the mathematical models, algorithms and software implementation for the diagnosis of natural seismic generators in a number of high-energy events.Models of seismic signals based on information entropy is treated as strict specifications, “waveguide” from the source to the seismograph. The observed qualitative differences between the models are associated with changes in species status of the generator. Technology allows us to trace the development of geodynamic situation at any time and spatial range. We present a software implementation of algorithms based on entropy analysis of cloud computing Google App Engine to integrate with Web services, IRIS Data Management Center. Provide evidence for the choice of cloud providers with a specific problem to be solved.

Mr. Dobkin is the cofounder, CEO and President of EPAM Systems, the largest software engineering firm with development centers in Central and Eastern Europe.

After earning an MS in Electrical Engineering from the Byelorussian National Technical University, Mr. Dobkin began his career in Minsk, Belarus, where he worked for several emerging software development companies before immigrating to the United States in 1991.

Since 1993, when EPAM was co-founded by Mr. Dobkin, the company under his direction has grown to become one of the world’s leading software engineering firms with focus on developing software products for top and emerging software companies as well as on delivering complex, mission critical solutions for large global corporations.

Today, with over 7,000 software engineers across its development centers in CEE and thousands delivered projects in North America and Europe, EPAM is recognized as a leading software engineering firm by such major company’s clients as Oracle, SAP, Google, IBM, UBS, Barclays Capital, The Coca Cola Company, Adidas, Expedia, Thomson Reuters, and Viacom among many others.

In February of 2012 Mr. Dobkin, joined by the company’s management team, ringed the NYSE Opening Bell to signify trades opening on the day, when EPAM Systems commenced its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange and became the first software engineering firm from CEE region publicly traded on such major global stock exchange.

A recipient of numerous awards, in June 2008 Ernst & Young named Mr. Dobkin winner of The Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2008 award in New Jersey, Information Technology Consulting category. In 2006, Consulting Magazine named him to “Top 25 Most Influential Consultants”. In 2004, along with the CEOs of Wipro Technologies and CGI Group, Mr. Dobkin was spotlighted as a key industry influencer in the Foreign Relations category of CRN’s “Top 25 Executives” issue.

Through EPAM, Mr. Dobkin has been instrumental in opening the vast talent pool of the former Soviet Union region and Central and Eastern Europe to the global business community. He continues to actively promote this region across the US and Western Europe by presenting at noted international industry and technology events, such as Gartner Summits, Forrester’s GigaWorld IT Forum Europe, Russian Outsourcing & Software Summits, SAP TechEd, and others.

First part of the presentation describes current situation of the invention protection in the IT companies. In this part I will tell about why companies don’t protect their invention in Russia and especially in abroad, what is the process of inellectual property protection, advantages and disadvantages of this process. Additionally, I will describe problems of the software developer’s motivation.

Second part of the presentation describe my way to solve problems, related to software inventions protection. I will prepare:

a list of changes, that companies need to implement for optimization of the invention protection processes;

expected result of the process implementation;

advanages and disadvantages of this approach.

A distinctive feature of many Linux distributions is an original approach to the task of software management, which implies formation of software packages and and usage of special systems to manage these packages—in particular, install, remove or update any of them. A common belief is that such systems are just archivers with minor additional features. However, modern package managers are quite complex systems that provide a lot of features besides just putting application files into archive and managing dependencies between different packages. Constantly increasing complexity of software gives rise to different improvements in this area. Nowadays package managers provide various possibilities to control the process of package installation or removal by allowing to launch arbitrary scripts embedded in the package itself, allow users to work with packages through the network, and so on. New features constantly are suggested and implemented.

This paper describes RPM5—a promising package management system based on the famous and widely used RPM package manager. We present an overview of already implemented improvements and discuss possible future directions. The improvements fall into two categories: the ones aimed to simplify creation of packages and the ones that speed up the user-side tools and enhances their functionality in different ways.

Improvements for developers include file triggers, a novel approach for localization of package descriptions, possibility to embed different useful utilities and libraries in the RPM itself, as well as various improvements aimed to automate the process of package creation and reduce number of manual actions.

Among changes valuable for users, we can highlight transactional package management, usage of parallelism to speed up different actions, integration with higher-level package managers and improved handling of configuration file updates. All these changes are aimed to make installation, update and removal of packages considerably faster and more flexible, at the same guaranteeing high reliability of these actions.
